“It is the tragic story of my grandparents, Elsa & Eugene, and how their passion for one another challenged the status quo and shaped the life of my mother, and me after her…An Edelweiss has a short but bold life, it is rare and grows in the harshest environment. At 9,000 ft. it symbolizes sacrifice and opposition, passion to bloom and strength to survive.”

Lauren Cox will use spoken word and dance at TEDxAsburyPark’s Passion this May to present the story of her grandparents, Elsa & Eugene, with the help of a deeply talented and experienced company of dancers and live music. The creative process driven by passion will be on display in this unique and moving offering on our stage.
