“Passionately Curious: Radicalization Methods to Reverse the Dispassionate Zeitgeist”
While we find passionate people curious, what ignites intensely passionate curiosity in people? What ignites passionate curiosity in places like Asbury Park? Why are some places magnets for the passionately curious: good and bad? In other words, can a seaside resort actually make one “curiouser?” In her talk, Sarah DaVanzo will answer these questions and challenge the audience to tap both passion and curiosity.
Sarah DaVanzo is a Chief Curiosity Officer at her company where she engineers curiosity to drive disruptive innovation. She has worked in 12 countries, circling the globe twice. She embodies passionate curiosity: living as a monk; conducting ethnographic research in the African jungle; shaking hands with Nelson Mandela; founding the Gold of Africa Museum; staring in a reality TV show; holding 3 patents; and has inspired a South African soap-opera character. Frequently in the media and a seasoned public speaker, in 2017 she delivered the keynote address at the World Future Society conference in Istanbul.
