Five unique and talented local artists – Nina Bovasso, Jason Krugman, Lisa Bagwell, Sharon Sayegh, and Erik Johanson  – explored the concept  of play in their sculptures displayed at the Two River Theater in Red Bank for the 2014 TEDxNavesink ideas conference.

The gallery was curated by Elizabeth A. Urbanski, fine art consultant and art historian.  About her motivation for bringing together such varied works to illustrate play, Urbanski said, “As a curator I am interested in exploring how artist express the abstract concept of play in a visual, but not literal, form. Whether it’s exploring ideas such as the play of light or playing with materials or proportion, each artist approaches this visual endeavor in their own unique manner.”
